Sleeping Together

A daft phrase, unless we slept,
as in that night on the moors,
one tent and a maelstrom,
sucking at the zip like a wolf cub.
We slept together then,
though we each had bags.

After the conference, when I had
the flat tyre, curse these cars
no spare in the boot,
no signal for either phone,
we slept together then,
both seats reclined almost flat.

The concert, do you remember?
too far away to get home,
booked into a B&B as Mr & Mrs,
shared a double bed.
We slept soundly till morning –
a half-decent breakfast.

Of course the sex was great, eh?
Emm, so, so.
